Death by Entertainment

The advent of increasingly advanced computer technologies and networked systems in the early 21st century resulted in a colossal shift of psyche amongst the human race. This can be described by a general attitude of apathy towards other people and worldly events. Technology has made the world smaller and more inter-connected, but failed to stem the on-slaughtering horde of entertainment, primarily visual. As such, we are currently in the process of self-annihilation.
